Mona  is crafted in a super soft organic cotton with a half organic cotton voile lining*. It is hand screen printed in a simple but beautiful motif, which just sings summer to me.

It has a hand shirring bodice , petite frill neckline with bell 3/4 length sleeves giving it a nod to the 70s era. The skirt has 2 tiers with cotton frill detail and a frill peplum hem, internal side pockets. Dress it up & you have the perfect party dress with big beads, heels or tone it down for a casual look with simple flats and a straw bag.

Hand Screen Printed

Our hand silk screen printing is done by Artisans, who use a traditional frame method on our 100% Organic cotton fabric with eco dyes. The ink is squeezed over the screen, creating intricate patterns on the fabrics , sometimes a few screens need to be used to create the design and all the colours. The artisans need a in-depth knowledge of how to layer the colours in each design which generally is past down threw the generations. The fabric is dried in the sunshine and then made into pretty silhouettes.

Care Instructions

Best care washing advice:

Hand/delicate machine wash in cold water inside out using mild detergent.

Wash with similar colours. Your clothes will get softer with every wash.

Sustainability

Organic cotton is grown using methods and materials that have a low impact on the environment and the people who work with it.  It is grown without the use of pesticides and from seeds which have not been genetically modified.   As a result, the process replenishes and maintains soil fertility, making it a sustainable material!
